Does anyone know if there a section of P&Y or any other record keeper that breaks down elk taken by longbow vs. crossbow or compound? I shot a very nice 318 (green) bull with my longbow and wooden shaft in September of this year and am really curious how many other bulls are taken with such equipment.

Thanks for the heads up. Those late nights are getting to me. Made the correction: "The bull’s fifth and sixth points match the height of the royal points (fourths)".

"The bull’s fourth and fifth points match the height of the royal points (thirds). I do not know yet what the green score is on this bull, but 430 plus on the gross score would seem pretty safe. He will have some deductions"

Correction :The Royal is the 4th point on a bull!

Thanks for the info David.

Mark,
Regarding your question about a possible 500 inch bull taken with a bow, check out the latest post about a potential 502 archery bull.

Hey, have you heard of a bull that was taken during the archery season in Arizona that was to be over 500 inches? I hear that it was on public land and not on the indian reservation. Please let me know if it was rumor or an actual fact!
