I have shot many bows in the past. Started out with a Darton of all things (early 80's). Eventually moved into the Bowtech line with the first generation Patriot. Robin hooded the second arrow though it. LOL. Fun at first, but after trashing a couple dozen arrows you find yourself looking for the spaces "between" the knocks. Due to military obligations, I knew it would be a while before I had th chance to shoot again so sold off all my equipment in anticipation of returning to new, faster, better, quieter, more accurate equipment. Ended up picking up the new Diamond Ice Man. HOLY COW! Quiet, accurate, quick and perfect for tree stand/blind shooting! I was impacting arrows 5 min after slapping sights on the thing. Great new hunting bow. For the dot chaser in me....I actually went for a used bow since I just dropped so much into my new hunting bow. Ended up grabbing a good deal on an 06 Consitution. Binary cams and all....outshoots the Hoyt Ultratec I used in competition. Yes I said the 4 letter H word. I used to shoot the Olympic Training Center in San Diego. Everyone had one...you get the picture. Although down there, I got some odd looks when I broke out the camo Patriot and stepped up to the line. LOL. Regardless, I was and remain utterly impressed with the Bowtech lines and now including the Diamond line bows. Good job guys!
BTW....lose the string stock string dampners and just go with good 'ol rubber whiskers. Both mine were completly gone within 2 dozen arrows anyway. But that is trivial. Still the best bows hands down.

I have a 2005 bowtech aliegiance and I'm here to say the bottom limb completely busted right at the edge of the limb pocket. As anyone would be I'm very disappointed in bowtech as they are not standing up to their product. I'm currently fighting for a new bow because now I don't know what it did to the riser. Bowtech will replace the limbs at dealers discretion but the dealer for not have equipment to check riser for any stress cracks. So I'm asking if you were in my shoes would you want a new bow, and for them to stand behind their product since they claim to be the best...''Refuse to Follow''.

I have an Allegience set at 60#, shoot 7595 gold tips at 28 in. I can't seem to tune the thing so as to get rid of an arrow kicking sideways. I've tried moving the rest,(whisker biscuit), and can't get a no-tear hole thru paper. Any one have a suggestion?

I have a 2008 bowtech allegiance and like it very well, its rifle like in velocity and accuracy. I dont care whos doinkin who at the bow companies, or whos says what about whoever. Bowtech has proven customer service, and will take care of any and all issues very quickly and professionally. The limb thing is a great debate. There was a problem with certain limbs on certain models a few years ago, I never heard of any that they did not take care of quickly. To me if you want the best, you want a mathews or a bowtech, I preferred the feel and shooting of the bowtech. I do wish I would of got the 80 lb limbs though......

I own a 07 guardian and i must say that it is very much a pleasure to shoot. I have had some problems with losing e-clips, which isnt a big deal for all bows can lose them ,but have noticed that the machined hole in the top limb where the axel pin for the cam goes throw was improperly machined. The local dealer that i deal with is excellent and has ordered another set of top limbs under warranty.I have also gone on the Bowtech website and emailed about the problem and have not heard back from them, its been over 2 months now. I have shot Hoyt before and loved the Xtech and ultraelite and may goe back to them for my next bow. I found the Guardian to be somewhat cheaply made where hoyt seems to manufacture a slower bow on the average but to me ,builds a much better limb pocket and have no problems with their limbs nor have I heard from any other hoyt shooters .

Just got a 2008 Allegiance in a trade. Thought maybe I made a mistake trading my switchback. But after shooting the allegiance, I was pleasantly surprised. Wow, is all I can say. I never thought I would shoot a bow that was more smooth than my switchback but the allegiance is! It is a 60-70# bow and pulls with less draw than the switchback and it was 50-60#. Very happy and pleased.

Is anyone having problems with the cams on the 08 Bowtech Commander?
I have seen one Commander with bent cams at the string posts due to the very thin metal metal at the post area.
The owner, an engineer, contacted Bowtech and explained the problem but he recieved a one line reply fobbing of the problem. Apparently the solution is to make the cams a bit thicker in the string post area (40 thou thicker metal strenthens the camsl in the problem aresa by 8 times.
I have also heard of onother Commander owner who had to replace cables 5 times due to the modules cutting into the serving then the string. This owner eventually recognised the problem and had to have the modules machined (at his own expense) as the grooves where the serving fits were very roughly finished, again Bowtech wanted to know nothing about the problem.
I shoot an 07 Bowtech Constitutution & apart from the very poor Chrome finish (flaking off) I find it excellent to shoot in tournament archey but, based on what I have seen & heard I don't think I will ever consider buying a Bowtech Commander.

I have owned a bowteh Tomcat for this being my third year. I have broken three cable slides (one while drawing on a 180 class mule deer) That didn't make me happy, but I have killed 4 deer 1 bear and 2 bulls in three years. Bow does its job poking holes in the animals just fine.
I also just had my bow in shop for an extreme makeover. Shot great for months, then three weeks before elk season this year, can't hit a plate at twenty and they arrows are visually spiraling towards the target. Brought in my bow and complained, archery shop said it was me, took it to a larger shop and they took it apart. Blamed it on my string length and stretching, fixed the string and gave it back, still shot poorly, took it to sportsmans warehouse in Missoula to the most knowledgable guy I know and he fixed the problem. Bearings in the cam had rusted and needed replaced. (Guess I shouldn't hunt in poor weather conditions anymore ha) irregardless small problems for a great bow at a great price will do for me. The bow broke down but the rght place backed it up! Thanks Bowtech!
