Well i tend to disagree with some of these speeds reason being the same grain arrows are not used with all of these bows and if the same grain were used some of these bows would not even make the list the average hunter were to shoot these bows with the arrows that they were tested with on a regulare the bow limbs would give out or the bows shooting the litest of arrows would be like dry fireing them this would make the bowes not last near as long just my outlook on this.

Thomas,

That's quite an imagination you have there. You had me going for a minute...NOT! Looking at you latest post, I have deduced the following:

1. You are against hunting
2. You are against ranching
3. You don't go to church
4. You don't own a truck
5. You don't have a girlfriend

Please exuse me if I'm off the mark.

Yeah I found that out the hard way. Had to put a tarp over the bed of our truckbed in case we got pulled over. Me and my girlfriend were on our way to church this weekend, and what did we see? Yep, it was a raghead grazing on my buddy Troy's salt lick. He told me it would pay off, what a buck. Luckily I had my Hoyt Ultratech with us, We now have a centerpiece to our living room!

Thomas,

You do understand that there are "seasons" for hunting, right? Not to mention licenses, tags, and common sense. Looking at your post I had to ask.

What a great episode!! I really liked how accurate those bows are. I've already ordered mine of Cabela's and plan on going out and trying it out on some real game this weekend if i have time:) I want to get either a moose or a large bull elk if i see one. I've never really hunted much, but i've gone on lots of simulated hunts on my computer in Oregon Trail. Hopefully its just as easy, but i doubt it is.

Here's my 2 cents
People kill people, not guns, or bows, or knives, or baseball bats. You could outlaw every weapon and everything that could be used as a weapon, and you'd still have murders.
With that said........
The bow company thinks that it will be great advertising for them!
I think it's a sad, sad day for mankind, if a company, any company, welcomes the exposure of their product, for advertizing purposes, when that product was used to kill someone. For a company to even entertain the idea of the exposure of their product in such a way, as good for the company, is sinful and disgusting :(

That's my opinion....."The "LOVE" of money is the root of all kinds of evil."

So..it's OK to pretend to shoot another human being with a bow, to advertise your product ??? (Since CSI is fictional and just a TV show)
What's the difference here..Why doesn't the company find a real murder with a bow and televise the news report themselves with a little blurb after the report saying "This news report was brought to you by ???".
Do you see what I'm getting at here. Fictional or not, it's just plain wrong.
What I'm saying is God forbid that Pepsi or coke or anyone else for that matter (including BowTech) use murder, mayhem, and Human suffering, to sell their products. It's unethical and immoral.
I'm not a prude, but it's bad enough that companies have resorted to using sex to sell their products, as we watch the commercial get more and more explicit with each passing year, but to use murder to sell a product ???  What's this world coming too.
I'm not sure now what upsets me more....the fact that a bow company is going to use murder to sell their product, or the fact that some of you just don't care, or don't see the point.
Has this ol' world gotten that bad in the last 50 years, that we are all becoming numbed in the brain to this sort of thing ?

I'm not saying this to put anyone down for their opinions, I'm saying it because I care about where we are headed in the advertisement industry, while the world sleeps. Does anyone have Integrity anymore or is that fading fast ?

I don't see any difference whether it's a fictional story or a true story here. The Bow company in question, is still using human suffering to advertise their product. It is a morally corupt and morally bankrupt concept to make money, to say the least.

I know one thing for sure,..If a Liberal News station were to find out that BowTech has made a deal with the producers of CSI, as an advertizement ploy to give their product exposure, they will jump all over it.

Keep feeding those Liberals ..eh..they look hungry

How would you feel about a Camo companie's integrity, if they had posted on their home page, that their camo pattern was going to be used in a show, where a young woman is gagged with a piece of cloth using their camo pattern, and then raped and murdered ? And their camo pattern would be mentioned by the forensic scientist during the show?
And that particular camo company was very excited about the advertising implications from the show in question ?

I'm not bashing BowTech for the product they make, because they make fine bows,. That's not the issue. But I have to admit, and I don't know if anyone else noticed or not, but that target bow they were shooting on the show had one terrible creaking sound in it.

I still think it was/is a shameful advertisement for BowTech, using a murder scene to promote their product.

I think it will be great for Bowhunting and Bowtech especially. Foir the most part, only those who would be potentially interested in compounds or bowhunting will be amazed by the weapon itself and how powerful it is. You simply don't hear much about archery in the mainstream media and One show is not going to trigger widspread compound bow ban attempts. If anything I think it will reintroduce some people to archery and how much compound technology has progressed. Bowtech itself had little to do with this directly anyway, but if I were them I would have defiantly endorsed the use of my bows in the show. It was a smart move.
