Hunting Illustrated Sept/Oct Issue Preview
September 30th, 2006 David King - King's Outdoor World
Our new issue of Hunting Illustrated is awesome. What was one of the great bucks taken in 2005? It was Robert Clark’s huge velvet non-typical mule deer nicknamed “The General”. Taken with a bow, this buck scores over 261 gross P&Y and is the largest archery buck taken in the state of Utah. You have not seen this buck or story anywhere else. Hunting Illustrated is the place to get the full story on this incredible buck and the history behind it.
You will also notice that “The General” also graces the cover of HI in a special way. It is a custom re-creation of this buck - the same image that is featured in our new 2007 King’s Bucks & Bulls Calendar and also in our King’s Mule Deer Calendar. Also we have a special feature on the four record non-typical archery velvet bucks taken in 2005:
Richard Burton/Ron Cordes Saskatchewan 271 7/8 net buck
Jed Lowe and his Colorado 260 2/8 net buck
Robert Clark’s Utah 258 2/8 net buck
Randy Ulmer and his Nevada 242 7/8 gross buck
Did you know that all four of these velvet bucks are also featured in our new 2007 King’s Mule Deer Calendar!
There is plenty more in this issue as you get stories on an amazing 411 archery bull taken in Arizona that has a 28-inch sword point! How about we take you along with Paul Roper as he attempts his quest for 20 big game animals with his muzzleloader in 2005. How many did he get? You will find out.
Our cover story is a special gear guide 2006. Get the latest on new products and gear for this year. Like ususal, there is so much more you will find in the pages of Hunting Illustrated. This is what sets HI apart from everyone else - awesome stories on huge bucks and bulls, great editorial content related to mule deer, elk, guns, and predators mixed in with news, illustrations, amazing photography and more.
This issue is available on newsstands nationwide September 14, 2005. Get yours today or call 800-447-6897 and order a subscription today.
