The only problem with outdoor shows is the host doesnt require much skill, except to show up. Most shows are whitetail hunts, where the scouting is all done and the “great hunter” shows up and shoots, not alot of skill required in that, yet these guys are bragged upon to no end on their skill factor. B.S.

I TEND TO AGREE WITH JOHN, THOSE BILLY JOE-BOB SHOWS GET OLD IN A HURRY. IT WOULD BE NICE IF IN REALITY YOU COULD HAVE THAT MUCH TIME TO GLASS, GET A REST, MAKE A SANDWITCH,TALK A LITTLE MORE, LET HIM TURN JUST RIGHT,PUT OUT THE CAMPFIRE, EAR THE HAMMER BACK, THINK ABOUT IT, THEN SHOOT THE MONSTER WHITETAIL. I SPEND 45 TO 50 WEEKENDS A YEAR FILMING MULE DEER BUCKS IN SOUTHERN IDAHO AND I HAVE NEVER HAD IT THAT EASY. I GUESS I NEED TO HUNT CAGEY WHITETAILS.

Jim Zumbo Outdoors. A true western hunting show, and the only one to be so dedicated to WESTERN hunting. Although now off the air, it is because of the cancellation that I do not watch much Outdoor channel lately. To much ya’all”, “get ‘er done”, and all that.
Having met Jim personally, I for one miss his show and his positive influence on HUNTING and his Pro Gun support.
