The buck is offically named "The Amish Lucky Buck". It has been rescored for its offical B&C score and is 295 2/8 Net. I understand that this is now higher scoring than the Beatty Buck.
It is called the Amish Lucky Buck because John Schmucker, the hunter that shot the buck did not want to use his name in the name of the buck. This is his choice. The buck although wild and free ranging had access to Lucky Buck Mineral being fed in the area by 5 of the neighbors with in one mile of where he was harvested.

Ms. Rodgers: I have never personally discussed theology with any ungulate and have never met anyone who has.
"Amish Buck" is merely a lable given to this uncommon creature to shorten a headline and to catch one's eye as well as stir curiosity. It caught yours, perhaps? It may have stirred your curiosity?
