A 33-year old Idaho man was attacked by a Grizzly bear in rural Teton County on Tuesday. After hearing his dog barking outside, the man went outside to investigate when he was mauled by what investigators believe to be a grizzly bear. A short distance from the home was a dead moose carcass the bear had been feeding on. The man suffered deep bite and claw wounds across his back and was flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he is recovering in stable condition. Controversy surrounds the community as the residents are divided on who wants the bear left alone and others who want it trapped and killed. Authorities say that the safety of the public is their top concern and the fate of the bear is still to be determined.

I had an opportunity to see the new Ranger RZR 800 EFI Side by Side in South Carolina at a ride event on Tuesday. Unfortunately they had just one there to show and they would not let me take it for a spin. But I was able to get some more video and did a short tour around the machine and went through some of the features.
I also compared it next to the new Polaris Sportsman 800 X2 ATV to show the size of the Ranger Razor RZR 800

Here is a short video clip of Doug Degelbeck’s world record typical muzzleloader bull elk. This bull was taken September of 2006 on a self-guided public land hunt in Utah. The video was taken shortly after Doug had his bull officially scored at 417 7/8 gross and 412 7/8 net typical B&C. This elk is the third largest bull on record as a straight 6×6 point. What a beautiful elk!
You can read the full story on Doug’s hunt in the current issue of Hunting Illustrated (April/May 2007) out on newsstands now.
You will also be able to see Doug’s great bull in the upcoming 2008 King’s Bull Elk Calendar.
