Comments on: More Video Polaris Ranger RZR Razor 800 http://blog.kingsoutdoorworld.com/2007/04/06/more-video-polaris-ranger-rzr-razor-800/ Behind the Scenes at King's Sun, 23 Nov 2008 09:36:46 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=1.5.2 Comment on More Video Polaris Ranger RZR Razor 800 by: joe http://blog.kingsoutdoorworld.com/2007/04/06/more-video-polaris-ranger-rzr-razor-800/#comment-131247 Sat, 29 Dec 2007 23:47:21 +0000 http://blog.kingsoutdoorworld.com/2007/04/06/more-video-polaris-ranger-rzr-razor-800/#comment-131247 i bought a rzr in november of 2007... it is the most awesome machine!!! i wish they would have put the option of locking the rear diff like the rangers... the posy trac rear end makes it feel like your tearing the heck out of the tires when on harder surfaces.. and if you like your grass' do not take your rzr on it! the smallest turn will start laying over sod.... the only other complaint i have is the engine drag when you let off the throttle, i was in the mountains in tennesee and when going down a long steep grade... you want to let off the gas to slow yourself but the machine wants to come to a stop, however there is no medium in this case.. your either on the gas a little and going too fast or your off the gas and coming to a hault!!! polaris really needs to fix this and i am sure that a lot of rzr owners will agree...i now was just informed that i have a recall on my rzr, the gas tank can develope a leak and start on fire, no biggie... it will be taken care of by my local polaris dealer at no charge, i also had a rear axle start leaking just outside of the diff which will be fixed also under warranty... but in closing... can anyone confirm that polaris has changed the design of the floor/kick panels??? these kick panel speaker mounts should fit the shape of my kick panel and are not even close! and yes! i am posotive that the ones i bought are made for the rzr and not the regular ranger... i bought a rzr in november of 2007… it is the most awesome machine!!!

No complaints worth talking about (little stuff associated with factory mass production), all in all a 10 out of 10. I am planning on buying one myself asap. Powerful, fast, priced right, SMOOTH ride, STABLE, and most important, COMFORTABLE!. The SAFETY is exponentially improved with a roll cage and belts. Since it is lower than a quad, YOU WILL GET WET but is it worth it! Get a dry box or strap a backpack to the roll cage for your dry stuff. If you run thru creeks and want to stay dry, wear waders. This thing begs for a passenger! Handles two 250+ riders with ease and elbowroom. Amazing! Problems: None of concern but Polaris has to beef up the drivers side floorboard. Easily fixed. Mud may clog seatbelt retractors (carry wd40). Plastic body rivets pop out but easily replaced. Quirks: Intense ATV driving using your foot for the throttle takes some getting used to. Be cautious when jumping because landing tends to cause your foot to hit the gas and accelerate. I wedge my foot against the center console to stabilize it and voila, steady power. Once you experience non-numb-thumb riding, you will not go back! I recommend Polaris put in throttle dampener (shock absorber) so if the pedal gets hit real hard, it will resist the movement.Needs a better seat adjustment set-up. The longer wheelbase requires some new techniques when dealing with tall rocks and tight spaces. Easily to master though.That giant poly skidplate takes the beatng and begs for more. Closing: This is the next generation of ATVing. It will be interesting to see what the competetion cooks up. It goes anywhere a quad will go and better. It does not tend to get stuck and it does not feel like it wants to roll over. Get in,hook up the netting, put on your helmet , and fasten your seatbelt. Hit the gas and watch as your quad buddies fade from your rear view, After a couple of hours, admire their sore rear ends hands. After a few more hours, send them home, grab your squeeze, load up the cup holders , and go PARKING! Had my red Razer since July and it is INSANE!! It is the most awesome machine I have ever owned. Unbelievable suspension and enough power to get really airborn! The anti-sway bar was mounted upside down from Polaris factory and snapped in 2 places within 5 minutes of use. (dealer says he will replace and install new pieces correctly).I increased rear tire air pressure to 15 lbs so that i could drift easier and adjusted rear shocks up 2 notches to keep from bottoming out on the jumps.Other than the assembly error, I give Polaris a 10 for the most awesome machine since the Honda Pilot.
