Winchester SX3 - How Fast Can You Shoot?
June 4th, 2007 David King - King's Outdoor World
Amazing footage of world record holding Xtreme Sport Shooter, Patrick Flanigan, shooting a Winchester Super X3 shotgun. This shotgun fires a dozen Winchester AA 12 gauge shells in an astonishing 1.442 seconds, timed from first to last shot. The SX3 used by Flanigan was not specially prepared in any way other than having an extended magazine holding 11 shells, nor was the filming sped up. Do you think Flanigan’s shoulder was a little sore after that day of shooting?

I do most of my duck hunting in winter months, freezeing temperatures, salt spray just a normal day hunting, i use a rem 870 pump how would a semi auto perform in these conditions.

Does anyone know if the SX3 has had any problems at all since production to public? I am looking to buy one for my son.

Jason, in July you left a comment I did not quite understand. You were talking abouit duck hunting in Utah and said it was in bad conditions. Then you mentioned freeze and jam. Did you mean the gun jammed or were you just talking about the weather. The SX 3 seems to be a very fast shooting gun and I’m sure it will be used for duck hunting. As everyone knows Duck Hunting is usually done in bad weather where freezing temps are just a way of life for ducks. It seems from other responses it is pretty reliable. What is you take on it. Thanks

Ive been looking at these for a while now, I was hoping an extended magazine SX3 would make its way into the gun shops, Is this something that we’re going to have to modify oursevles or is it on the way? Thanks,

Hello everyone.
thank you all for your support and for posting the speed record video. The Winchester SX3 is simply amazing. If you ever have a question drop me a line and I will try to help you all out.
Best Regards,
Patrick Flanigan

I bought a new sx3 3 1/2 ” in Oct. 07. I hunted pheasant in South Dakota shooting federal 2 3/4″ magnums and had no problems. When our duck season began in Nov I started shooting Winchester Supreme 3 1/2. I had considerable problems with jamming. Finally the gun shop where I bought it replace the entire trigger assembly. It worked well for the balance of duck season. I recently tried to shoot some target loads and experienced additional problems. I would be interested in anyone elses input on this matter. I love the weight and how the gun mounts.
