410 Net Typical Elk from 2007!

Could this be the elk of the year for big typicals? Just a few days ago, a monster elk was taken in southern Utah. This monster 7×7 point typical bull elk has been green scored over 420 gross and 410 net. It was taken with a rifle. If the score holds it will be the #4 typical elk for the state of Utah.
You will be seeing more of this elk and the official score, etc. here on the blog and look for more in an upcoming issue of Hunting Illustrated.
So what are the top typical elk for the sate of Utah you ask? Here is a breakdown through the 2006 season. Let’s see how things get changed up in 2007.

2. Degelbeck - 412 7/8 net (muzzleloader) 2006
3. Austad - 411 3/8 net (rifle) 2006
4. Jacobsen - 408 4/8 net (rifle) 2005
5. Ogden - 404 4/8 net (rifle) 2006
