Hi Dave, I am really impressed by the size of the elk. I was just wondering how many tags were available to this unit and how much they paid for the tag. If large sums of money were involved to take this magnificent animal, I feel any hunter could of accomplished this if they had the money to do so. If it was a drawing for all to put in for, then it makes it a different game.. Thanks Rockie

great Bulls. I would like to find a search engine that will allow me to look up some individual records. for example I have a cousin who killed a bull in washington state that scored 338 or 328 but was much larger than the score refects. it was a massive set of antlers that lost quite a few points due to imperfections.at the time he shot it it was number three in pope and young for wash. i would like to see where it now stands.if there is such a search engine available i would love to hear about it. kings is my favorite site and my wife and i spend hours a day on it thanks

Was at Ogden's tax in Richfield the day after it was shot (dropping off our two 6x6 bulls....360-370s....).

Killed by bow....said someone missed by cross-bow a few days earlier! (out of the Pavant)

He's big...6 on the left 7 on the right (2 thirds on the right...but it doesn't look lopsided!)...short beams (52-54" I guess)....big bladed 5ths on both sides and 26-27" 6ths....long body, but not as heavy as you'd expect.

I'd guess he's cloer to 420 than 440 after deductions....still Huge! The Mossback boys sure know how to get 'em.
