The Second Amendment to me is the right to own guns that I can either protect my family with, hunt, use for sporting purposes or just collect. (I may have left a category out there so don’t come down on me if I left one out). There should be in no way that congress should ever be able to change the constitution of our great nation that would ever in any way change that. I am and avid hunter and I have two boys that are just starting to hunt and I could not imagine telling them that we could not hunt anymore because our second amendment rights were taken away. I could go on and on about this but I will leave my comment at that for now.

The question should be, How long will the second ammendment allow us to bear arms?

I think we should always have the right to bear arms. I think that if we all stand up for what we believe this right cannot be taken away.

It’s strange looking at this from an english point of view, where it is basically illegal to carry/own guns. I can’t imagine how different it would be here if the laws were the same as in America.

I think that the second amendment PROTECTS not give us the right but protects it and if they tried to take away that RIGHT it would be an insult not a disapointment but an insult to our four fathers and our heavenly father above

We have the right to bear and keep arms - period. If the government takes this right away from us, there WILL be those who still have guns in their possession, namely the crooks and thiefs. Then where does this leave those of us who respect the law?
Well, it leaves us pretty much with our thumbs up our a_ _ .

If we lose our right to bear arms what does that say to each of our great service men and women that have fought and died protecting those rights.

what these people don tunderstand is that most people with guns are resposible they just see crimes commited with guns and are totally against them. i usually have no less than two firearms in my truck at all times just because i can and i use them frequently enough and it would shock the heck out of them if they new how many peoplearound myneck of the woods did the same and guess what no crime! hmm weird huhif they were smart they would work on way for people that commit major gun crimes to stay in jail much longer than they wouldnt have to worry about it

I think it is wise we take advantage of the Concealed Weapons Permit that each of the LAW ABIDING citizens of America can obtain IF YOUR STATE RECOGNIZES ONE and i believe that they should. I’m a Utahn and carry a nine millimeter lawfully almost everywhere i go. Those citizens who choose a life of crime and display poor life choices that effect others are to me not considered those of whom our Fore-Fathers were speaking of when drafting our nations 2nd ammendment. If i chose to not obey the laws of this great Nation then i would expect them to revoke that privellige. Until then… DO NOT TREAD ON ME OR MY LOVED ONES!

The “RIGHT’ to keep ad bear arms shall NOT be infringed. I DON’T NEED AN INTERPRETER, do you? This is a self evident truth this country was started with and should not be subverted by politicians or the media. If this is denied the American citizen, then we no longer have a Democracy, but rather a dictatorship against which we will not be able to defend ourselves nor our families from..

a militia is a citizen army … PRIVATE citizens!! the law was written so that INDIVIDUALS could come together to form a
militia should the time call for it. and when the time comes, it is
TOO LATE to try and buy a gun, wait the stupid 10 days (in
Kalifornia) then try it out to zero it and try to get familiar with it!
we are supposed to be able to buy/own the gun, then be able to
have it handy for MILITARY purposes, NOT hunting, “sporting”,
target shooting or any other such nonsense. it protects our
right for a military weapon for a paramilitary purpose … the
    malitia!
